Lucite International Asia has manufacturing sites in Taiwan, China, Japan and Thailand, and is currently building a world scale Alpha manufacturing plant in Singapore. In Taiwan, Kaohsiung Monomer Company produces Methyl Methacrylate Monomer which is exported all over Asia. Acrylic composites known as 'Asterite', 'Avron' and 'Modar' are produced in Japan and are mainly used for bath and kitchen products. Thai Poly Acrylic in Thailand makes not only acrylic sheet (known as 'Moden Glas') but also various kinds of plastic sheet such as ABS, PP, PE and PS. There are sales offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea and China (Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing) and agents in many other countries. These offices provide sales and marketing services for imported products (Perspex® polymers, Elvacite® & Lucite® resins and Lucite saniware sheet) in addition to those manufactured locally in the region.
